Thrillers in general make me leery, because a lot of the time I can guess what is going to happen within the first one hundred pages. But this one sounded so interesting and like such a nailbiter that when I saw it was Read Now on Netgalley, I jumped at the chance! I’ve read other books from Mindy’s Book Studio, so I was very excited for this one. Awad took the typical domestic thriller and gave it a dark, unique spin. I really enjoyed it, and As Far as She Knew is one of my favorite books of the year! I will never forget it, and I hope Diana Awad is planning to write more in the future!

I absolutely loved this book! I was actually stretching it out because the tension was so perfectly pitched and delicious! The prose was warm but concise, and I loved Amira’s voice. Her character development was so believable, and that was part of what sold the book for me. I was on tenterhooks with Amira, trying to figure out what was the truth and what was a lie. I loved all of the characters, but Amira and her sister, Lulu, were my favorites. I could not figure out where this book was going; every time I thought I figured it out, another twist threw me for a loop! By the time I was nearing the end of the book, I was totally glued to it. And that ending! I suspected, but I still didn’t guess it completely! I loved this twisty mystery, and I’m so looking forward to what Awad writes next! The bottom line: Rich with detail and full of shocking twists, I loved As Far as She Knew!
